Location: Remote – must reside in North Carolina (office in Monroe, NC)

About the Role

We are seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team and maintain accurate financial records for a diverse client base. The right candidate is detail-oriented, client-facing, and comfortable using modern ERP/accounting software to deliver reliable results.

This is a hybrid remote role (NC residents only), with in-person training or client interaction or other in-office activities as needed and requested.

What You’ll Do

• Record day-to-day financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and manage AP/AR
• Process payroll, sales tax, and compliance filings (1099s, etc.)
• Prepare and review financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Support clients in QuickBooks Online/Desktop and Odoo ERP; familiarity with Xero a plus
• Train clients (in-person or remote) on bookkeeping tasks and software workflows
• Participate in webinars, small-group training, and client calls
• Collaborate with the team using Microsoft Office/Teams
• Provide notary services (certification required or obtained shortly after hire)
• Other tasks as required.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Associate’s degree + 2 years’ experience considered)
• 5+ years bookkeeping/accounting experience
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and Odoo ERP (required)
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple clients/projects
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• Experience in public accounting and/or in a consulting role with demonstrated ability to balance multiple clients and projects
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational ability

Preferred/Bonus Skills:

• Experience with Xero, Avalara, Shopify, Cin7, Katana, or Buildertrend
• Prior tax prep support experience
• CPA, EA, AFSP, or Certified Bookkeeper credential
• Notary Public certification (preferred)
• Bilingual (preferred)

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Pay: $25 – $28/hr, depending on experience
